Hi! I'm so glad that you could visit my blog. I'm enjoying some apple that students brought in for me. Did you see me in my maze? It's made of cardboard. What would you like to see me do in my maze?
Hey Theo your great in your maze. Do you remember me from in the summer when i took you to my house? so do you want me to bring you some carrots after lunch? from Audrey
Theodore, Have you read The Little Matchstick Girl? It's sad, but I think you would like it. I want to see you go in your maze. Can you post a picture of yourself in your maze? Can you race around your maze? Or play some sports? It would probably get you in good shape along with a moderate diet. Another book recommendation is Fablehaven, by Brandon Mull. by, Mrs. Raben/Tallman's class

Hey Pioneer kids, Thanks for all of the comments. I feel like a rockstar! I appreciate the book recommendations. I get bored in the library at night, so it's good to have the names of some good books to read. I'll answer your question in this post. My favorite foods are strawberries and dark green vegetables. I don't like to run and excercise, that's best left up to young guinea pigs. I do like my maze, but don't wish to run or play football in it. I'd like to recommend that you read the Ranger's Apprentice series. I don't think you need a diet. You are perfect the way you are. I recommend Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a good read. I am happy to announce that I have never bit anyone. But, please do not stick you finger in my cage, because my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, and I might think it's a carrot.
Dear Mr. Shepard's class, Wow, you have some great questions! My favorite character is Darwin. I liked his advice to his fellow guinea pigs. I like to eat dark green vegetables, like kale, but can eat a carrot in less than 3 minutes. I started to read The Ranger's Apprentice series, but then realized that it was on a 7th grade reading level. I am currently reading Percy Jackson and love Greek Mythology. I feel like I am most like Apollo. Who do you think I'm most like? Thank you for saying that I am perfect the way I am.

Dear Mrs. Cereghino's class, My favorite part of Ranger's Apprentice is when Morgarath challenges the king. My favorite Character in Percy Jackson is Hades, because he's located underground. I'm not finished with the Lightening Thief, so I don't know what's in the pit. My favorite country is located in South America, Guyana. I really don't run, ever in my maze, instead, I lumber about slowly. I suppose I am most like Dionysus, but I wish I could fly across the sky in my chariot like Apollo. I would love to be friends with a bunny! My all time favorite book is called, "Oh Theodore". It's a poem book that I was named after. I've never been on TV or seen TV. I just look at books in the library. Bye!

Dear Mrs. Williams' Class, Thank you for saying that I'd be a good wide receiver. If Mrs. McQueen would let me join a football team, I'm sure that I would enjoy that position. I've never met another animal in a cage. I would like to, but I do like having my cage to myself. I get plenty of action with students, I don't need another animal trying to squeeze into my purple igloo house. I don't like cats, they scare me. I prefer them to be in another room from me. I like having my own blog, but what I like best is for kids to pet me. I don't have a last name...maybe you could help think of one. Dear Mrs. Barber's Class, Thank you for suggesting some activities in my maze. "The Robot" and "The Worm" dance would be an awesome activity, but you will have to show me how. If I had a small tennis racket, I could play tennis with the custodian at night. I would LOVE to be a cheerleader, but I can't yell very loud. Did you know that former president G.W. Bush was a cheerleader while in college? He was really lucky. Did you know that "Island of the Aunts" and "Which Witch" were originally published in Great Britain? They sure have some great authors in that part of the world. Maybe this spring, I'll see you outside! It's too cold right now. My species is from South America, where it's warmer than hear. Dear Pioneer Students, I really LOVE the "leftover" lunch food that you bring me, like the apples, carrots, broccoli, and celery. This week, I really have enough food though. I can't eat any more than what you have brought me already. How about next week, you can bring me ONE thing. If everyone brings me a handful of carrots, I can't eat that much. Thanks for your help! Dear Mrs. Martin and Crosby and Schutte's class, Thank you for the questions. I'll do my best to answer them. I do like tunnels, because I like to be underground or hidden. I'm afraid of the bridge in my maze. I'm feeling well, but don't have a favorite color. I don't see as well as people. I love books and feel lucky to live in the library. My favorite is "Oh Theodore" which is a poetry book. I don't like to plastic wheels--they scare me. I have tried them before and I just sit in them and wait to be held or put back in my cage. I don't like to run fast anymore. Mostly I eat and read books. Love, Theodore
I'd like to answer the question about whether I like dogs or not. If a dog stays away from me and ignores me, I like them well enough. But if they get to close to me, it scares me. Love, Theodore
The book "Ottoline and the Yellow Cat" is written by one of my favorite author and illustrators: Chris Riddell. He lives in Brighton, England and has received national awards in the UK for his illustrations. Love, Theodore

Dear Pioneer Kids, Tomorrow is my favorite holiday: Groundhog's Day. This time of year I wish I was named Phil--Punxsutawney Phil. I can see myself predicting the spring. (It would always be coming soon, if it were my job!). I'll answer some of the questions from above, if I haven't already in earlier posting. My favorite sport is watching kids in the library and eating. I love the book "Midnight on the Moon", from The Magic Tree House series. It's probably because I am nocturnal, by nature. Bad news about my maze. No more football or soccer for me. The maze got recycled. It was old and getting "unsanitary" and so it was placed in the recycle dumpster. I'll have to wait for something big to get delivered to our school as a way to get another box. If you see something delivered, ask for the box!! Love, Theodore
Dear Pioneer kids, It looks like I was right about spring coming soon! Also, I have to admit that I've never, ever played soccer with high schoolers. Mrs. McQueen won't let me. I don't have gmail or email, but I do have my own blog. I haven't seen the movie Avatar, but I heard that it was a great story with special glasses you could wear to get a 3-D experience. Do they make glasses my size? One last thing, I'm looking for a couple of families who aren't going to Mexico or Hawaii this spring break, and would like some guinea pig company. Know anyone? Dear Pioneer Students, I haven't really thought about becoming a ninja or joining the special forces branch of the military. But, I can stand on my back feet and reach my high food bowl which is full of green hay pellets. I never get bored in the library because I am surrounded by thousands of books. I have read many of the Geronimo Stilton and think Geronimo is funny and clever. I haven't read any of the Bone books. My favorite season is summer because one of my favorite activities is eating grass. I had a super fun weekend visiting a Pioneer family. I sure am lucky to have so many people to feed me and care about me! Happy President's day weekend! Go Lincoln! Go Washington! Love, Theodore

Dear Pioneer Students, Thank you for all of the cards and well wishes for Valentine's Day and Groundhog's Day (my personal favorite). I would love another picture posted of me on this blog! Could someone ask our librarian to take one of me? I get to look at books all day and night, which is my favorite thing to do. Right now, I'm really into Greek Mythology. Do you think Mrs. McQueen is like Athena? She has wisdom about books and defends them like a warrior. Who is your teacher like? I've never read the Goosebumps books. They are probably too scary. I've never met another animal in a cage. I would like to, but I do like having my cage to myself. I get plenty of action with students, I don't need another animal trying to squeeze into my purple igloo house. I don't like cats, they scare me. I prefer them to be in another room from me. I like having my own blog, but what I like best is for kids to pet me. I don't have a last name...maybe you could help think of one. ReplyDeleteThank you for suggesting some activities in my maze. "The Robot" and "The Worm" dance would be an awesome activity, but you will have to show me how. If I had a small tennis racket, I could play tennis with the custodian at night. I would LOVE to be a cheerleader, but I can't yell very loud. Did you know that former president G.W. Bush was a cheerleader while in college? He was really lucky. Did you know that "Island of the Aunts" and "Which Witch" were originally published in Great Britain? They sure have some great authors in that part of the world. Maybe this spring, I'll see you outside! It's too cold right now. My species is from South America, where it's warmer than hear. I prefer the library to the rain. Bye!

ReplyDeleteI really LOVE the "leftover" lunch food that you bring me, like the apples, carrots, broccoli, and celery. This week, I really have enough food though. I can't eat any more than what you have brought me already.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the questions. I'll do my best to answer them. I do like tunnels, because I like to be underground or hidden. I'm afraid of the bridge in my maze. I'm feeling well, but don't have a favorite color. I don't see as well as people. I love books and feel lucky to live in the library. My favorite is "Oh Theodore" which is a poetry book. I don't like to plastic wheels--they scare me. I have tried them before and I just sit in them and wait to be held or put back in my cage. I don't like to run fast anymore. ReplyDeleteTomorrow is my favorite holiday: Groundhog's Day. This time of year I wish I was named Phil--Punxsutawney Phil. I can see myself predicting the spring. (It would always be coming soon, if it were my job!).
I'll answer some of the questions from above, if I haven't already in earlier posting. My favorite sport is watching kids in the library and eating. I love the book "Midnight on the Moon", from The Magic Tree House series. It's probably because I am nocturnal, by nature. Bad news about my maze. No more football or soccer for me. The maze got recycled. It was old and getting "unsanitary" and so it was placed in the recycle dumpster. I'll have to wait for something big to get delivered to our school as a way to get another box. If you see something delivered, ask for the box!! Love, Theodore

I don't have gmail or email, but I do have my own blog. I haven't seen the movie Avatar, but I heard that it was a great story with special glasses you could wear to get a 3-D experience. Do they make glasses my size? One last thing, I'm looking for a couple of families who aren't going to Mexico or Hawaii this spring break, and would like some guinea pig company. Know anyone? ReplyDeleteI haven't really thought about becoming a ninja or joining the special forces branch of the military. But, I can stand on my back feet and reach my high food bowl which is full of green hay pellets. I never get bored in the library because I am surrounded by thousands of books. I have read many of the Geronimo Stilton and think Geronimo is funny and clever. I haven't read any of the Bone books. My favorite season is summer because one of my favorite activities is eating grass. I had a super fun weekend visiting a Pioneer family.
